Carlos Viesca MD - Founder, CEO
Carlos Viesca, MD, is the founder, CEO, and lead provider of Border Pain Institute in El Paso, Texas. A pain management specialist, Dr. Viesca, welcomes new and returning patients to the practice. Dr. Viesca attended medical school at Universidad Autonoma de Cd. Juarez (UACJ) in Mexico. Following his graduate education, he studied through several internships and residencies, including an Internal Medicine program at Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS) Hospital, General Surgery at Texas Tech University in El Paso, and an Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship at Texas Tech University in Lubbock under Dr. Racz. To top off his rigorous training, Dr. Viesca completed a two-year certificate program in business administration through the American Society of Anesthesiology. In 2021, he completed a 4-year Master of Arts Program in Pastoral Studies at Saint Thomas University Houston, Texas.
